We love to play!
The Lion Cubs are growing so fast! The can be found running, playing, pouncing and wrestling! They are waiting for visitors on opening day…April 13, 2013! They are almost 5 months old and what remarkable growth they have had. They have very different personalities and sometimes will put each other in their place! They will grow to be fierce predators and sometimes they can hear daddy in the distance and will take notice!
I notice they do not have names (or at least their names have not been disclosed). Is there a reason for that?
Hi Rebecca, thanks for your interest in our lion cubs! After much deliberation, we have named one of the cubs (the male) after his father, who has been a beloved part of the Zoo family for 20 years. His name is L.J., or Leroy Jr. For our female cub, we will be holding a contest for one of our patrons to name her.
