Two-Toed Sloths have Arrived!

Meet our newest arrivals…

Two-Toed Sloth family (mom, dad, and baby) arrived at the zoo in March 2013. They have enjoyed “hanging around” their temporary exhibit, and on any given day the baby sloth can be seen sleeping on his mother’s belly while she hangs upside down inside their habitat. It is satisfying to know that these sloths became quickly accustomed to their new digs.  The zoo plans to place them in a newer, permanent habitat next year, once they have the facilities to build them a new home.

From what we are hearing, you are just as excited as we are to have them here. You can find our sloths next to the Chimpanzee Habitat. Just one more great reason to visit!
