- Blue tongue skinks do not lay their eggs. The female carries her eggs internally and expel the young after they hatch.
- Blue tongued skinks tend to be docile. However, when they feel threatened they will stick out their tongue, puff up their body and hiss to intimidate predators. Skinks can also lose its tail as a defense mechanism.
